Recently, we had the pleasure of helping a customer move from a 3 bedroom apartment in Chestermere to Calgary. The distance for the move was fairly large and there were a lot of belongings. Therefore, we would consider this a fairly large operation. It took 3 movers and 1 truck 11 hours to complete the move. On top of it, we also had to move a heavy item that weighted over 200 lbs in a single piece. As such, this adds both delays and complexities to this move.
The customer had a 3 bedroom apartment in Chestermere. This residential move was of a large size with following furniture and item transferred by our movers:
Moving efficiently from one location to the next. Professionally packed equipment – both protected with blankets, strapped down where needed and organized for maximum space utilization, so that fewer trips are required.
Moving a property professionally involves many details. To make sure everything goes smoothly, one must both prepare beforehand and work hard during the move. The process of moving the above list of items involved the following steps:
Overall, the process of moving these items would require careful planning, attention to detail, and physical labor to ensure everything is safely and efficiently transported to the new location.
Moving does not need to cost an arm and a leg. Affordable, yet professional service is what we aim to offer at any time! Overall, the total number of hours is 11 hours with 3 movers and 1 truck, which is charged at a rate of $189 per hour for a total of $2079.
We also had to apply a heavy lift charge of $200 for items that weigh over 200 lbs as a single piece. This charge only applies when moving extremely heavy and bulky items, since they require additional equipment and preparations on our end.
With a base charge of 189 dollars per hour for 3 movers and a truck, for 11 hours the subtotal was $2,079. Adding to the 200 dollars heavy lift charge, the total came out to be $2,129 +GST (5%). Therefore, the move with taxes costs $2,235.45 for the customer. Our customer was very pleased with our services and complemented our movers for being both professional and kind.
